Martin Hauck, Head of Talent, Coinsquare 

Martin’s entire career has revolved around helping people find what they need. The first 11 years of his career were spent selling nuts and bolts to manufacturers and construction companies. His journey into recruitment began after being recruited by a recruiter to become a recruiter to recruit other people in the world of industrial goods. His latest challenge is to help scale from 40 people to over 250 in less than six months. 

Kathleen Teixeira, Digital Media Manager, HR, Loblaw Co Ltd 

Kathleen has worked in the Recruitment industry for 7 years gaining experience in Social Media, Recruitment Marketing and Employer Brand. As the Digital Media Manager supporting HR for Loblaws, Kathleen was hired to develop Recruitment Marketing strategies to elevate the organizations ability to engage, entice and attract the right talent. Kathleen is also the Co-Founder of Canada’s 1st Social Recruiting Conference, Co-organizer of the popular #DisurptHRTO events, Chair of the Social Media Committee for the HRPA York Region Chapter and was awarded as Canada’s HR Rising Star of the year by HRD Magazine in 2016. 

Sara Cooper, Director of Talent, OMERS Ventures 

Sara works closely with the senior leadership of some of North America’s most promising and successful tech companies to build strategies designed to attract, retain and develop top Talent. Prior to joining OV, Sara led Talent related programs at several tech companies including FreshBooks, Microsoft and Lavalife. Sara is passionate about the Canadian tech ecosystem and believes that its success will be driven by creating environments that attract the best and brightest from all over the world.


Jeff Waldman, VP of Evangelism & Strategy, VanHack; Founder, SocialHRCamp & I Belong; Advisor, Vacation Fund & Diversity Factor 

A senior HR practitioner who works with growing Canadian SMB technology companies focusing on people strategy, employee engagement, employer branding, advisory and training. He has held a number of leadership roles and has supported organizations with building and growing their global operations. Jeff is also deeply engaged and connected within the HR technology space, helping to boost user adoption. He has advised a number of start-up companies, most recently with Vacation Fund and Diversity Factor.  His latest passion project is called I Belong, which measures employee sentiment and sense of belonging within SMB technology companies in Toronto.
